Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Residential and Commercial HVAC service journeyman to efficiently undertake a variety of HVAC tasks ranging from repairing furnaces and condensing units to equipment replacement. A successful HVAC journeyman must have a thorough knowledge of the Kentucky HVAC codes. They are patient individuals with a practical mind and manual dexterity, able to work efficiently with great attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and related mechanical components.
- Perform routine maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating and conditioning systems.
- Install new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications.
- Utilize mechanical and electrical skills to test and diagnose HVAC unit faults.
- Knowledge on a variety of Commercial HVAC equipment preferred, including but not limited to split systems, package units, and boilers.
- Ensure work performed is in compliance with all State, Local and Federal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
- Adheres to and ensures staff and subcontractors adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications
- HVAC: 2 year's Service (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
- EPA Type II (Required)
- Kentucky Journeyman's License (Required)
- Strong familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and have the knowledge to install
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and MVR
- Basic computer skills
- Personable with a strong desire to provide excellent customer service
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be organized
- Problem solver
- Must be able to perform strenuous tasks such as bending, kneeling, lifting objects over 75lbs, climbing ladders, digging, and flexibility to work on Saturdays and overtime as needed.
