The Electrician will support reliable operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and facility systems by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment in compliance with cGMP, NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards. This role ensures safe and continuous operation of power distribution, controls, and automation systems across FDA-regulated production areas. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving skills, and experience supporting electrical systems in a high-compliance manufacturing environment.
This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including power distribution panels, MCCs, transformers, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and lighting systems.
- Perform root-cause diagnostics using appropriate electrical test instruments and document findings per data integrity requirements.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems in accordance with CMMS work orders, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
- Install conduit, wiring, and terminations per NEC standards and site specifications.
- Support manufacturing and packaging operations by troubleshooting and repairing equipment electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, and Maintenance teams during new equipment installations and capital projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical change documentation, and safety compliance logs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited electrical trade school, vocational program, or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work; experience in pharmaceutical, food, or regulated manufacturing preferred.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting schematics, single-line drawings, and control wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in diagnosing motors, starters, relays, control circuits, instrumentation, and low-voltage systems.
- Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and electrical safety standards.
- Familiarity with PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley preferred) and CMMS software.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required.
