Are you a licensed addictions counselor with a passion for leadership and helping families thrive? KVC is seeking a Supervisor of Substance Abuse to support and guide our dedicated team of Drug & Alcohol Counselors. In this vital role, you’ll combine clinical expertise with compassionate leadership to shape the future of substance abuse recovery services.
🧠What You’ll Do
As the Supervisor, you will:
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed addiction counselors (LAC/LCAC)
Oversee and support individual, family, and group therapy services
Ensure full compliance with KDADS Substance Abuse Services standards
Facilitate accurate and timely documentation, treatment planning, and service authorizations
Guide crisis intervention efforts and coordinate with community and clinical partners
Help maintain a safe, evidence-based, family-centered child welfare system
Collaborate with agencies and payers for credentialing, authorizations, and continuity of care
🎓 What You Bring
LAC or LCAC license (Required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Addictions, Social Work, Counseling, or in a field licensable by the Kansas BSRB
3 years’ clinical experience with children/adolescents in individual, family & group therapy
Demonstrated experience in addictions recovery
Intermediate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
