General duties include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Excellent customer service to ensure both friendly and timely deliveries.
• Navigating multiple smart-phone apps to complete tasks and remain compliant.
• Adheres to careful cash-handling and driver safety practices.
• Comfortable driving in inclement weather including snow (with chains when needed) and rain, fog, ect.
• Each driver averages four routes per day in a 9 hour work day, depending on volume, for a full shift. A half shift will get 2 routes. Two ten-minute breaks and a lunch are given for full shifts but outside of that there is not a lot of downtime that you aren’t doing deliveries, unless volume is really slow.
• Problem-solving skills! Drivers have to navigate tricky addresses and traffic and have to communicate with their manager and/or customers about delays.
• We have strict compliance requirements given the nature of our business and following these along with trying to ensure we can make every delivery is a priority.

Work environment:

Our headquarters is located in Southeast Portland within an industrial office building. It has limited amenities but it provides for the basic needs of our staff. Delivery vehicles are owned, maintained, and insured by the company. Employees are not responsible for driving or insuring their own vehicle, nor paying for gas. They are responsible for using their own smart-phone.

Requirements:

- Must be 21

- Must obtain or be in the process of obtaining an OLCC Marijuanna Workers Permit

- Must own a valid US driver’s license

- Must have a clean driving record and provide proof via a DMV Motor Vehicle Report

- Must pass drug test for insurance purposes (excludes cannabis)- Must be able to pass a company issued driver test before hire.

- Must have a reliable smart-phone

-Must be able to climb flights of stairs as needed

-Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, several times a day.

- Weekend availability (non-negotiable)

Job Type: Part-time: 2-4 days per week

9-25 hours per week

Full Shifts 1145AM-830PM

Half Shifts 1145AM-4:30 PM (very limited) or 4:00 PM -8:30 PM

Compensation: $16.30/hr base pay with an additional average of $5-$10/hr in tips

Sick-time (up to 40 hrs per year)

30% in-store purchase employee discount

Yearly driver bonus for excellent performance up to $1000

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred not required)

Experience:

One year of customer service and/or delivery experience (preferred)

Cannabis knowledge or experience (considered)

Work Location: One location in the Southeast Portland Darlington neighborhood

Pay: $16.30 - $25.00 per hour
