KUR Research is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) to support sponsor-funded clinical trials in Columbia, Maryland.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians looking to supplement their income while maintaining flexibility. Contractors provide clinical support during scheduled dosing visits and are engaged based on study needs and their availability.
Please Note: This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity and not a W-2 employee position.

What You'll Do
- Prepare investigational products (oral, subcutaneous, and IV)
- Perform unblinded study procedures in accordance with protocol requirements
- Support scheduled clinical research dosing visits
- Maintain compliance with GCP, study protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Accurately document study activities
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical workspace
- Collaborate professionally with investigators, coordinators, sponsors, and clinic staff
- Perform additional study-related responsibilities as mutually agreed upon
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage investigational product doses (oral, subcutaneous, and IV)
- Perform unblinded study procedures per protocol requirements
- Support clinical research dosing visits alongside the study team
- Maintain compliance with GCP, protocol requirements, and study procedures
- Accurately document study-related activities
- Keep workspace organized and professional.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with KUR and clinic staff.
- Perform additional study-related responsibilities within the scope of the engagement as mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications:
Required
- Active RN, NP, or PA license in Maryland
- Clinical nursing experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional demeanor
Preferred
- Clinical research experience
- IV administration experience
- Experience following clinical protocols
Schedule
- Per diem, study-based assignments
- Assignments are scheduled based on sponsor study needs
- No minimum guaranteed hours
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to ten pounds.
- Frequently sitting, walking, standing, stooping.
