About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing process and utility equipment, as well as ensuring reliable performance of facility systems and infrastructure. This role is critical to maintaining smooth, safe, and compliant production operations in a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production, utility, and facility equipment.
- Support installation, qualification, and operation of new device assembly and filling equipment.
- Generate and update preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, spare parts lists, and documentation in the maintenance database.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-based control systems.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations Leadership to communicate repair priorities and equipment status.
- Accurately record maintenance and calibration activities using electronic work order systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with GMP standards.
- Perform additional duties as required to support high-performance manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in maintenance within a pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, and spare parts management.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and PLC-based systems using schematics and test instruments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, calibrators, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or vocational certificate in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Experience maintaining boiler systems, HVAC, and production support utilities.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and GMP compliance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring kneeling, bending, or reaching in industrial settings.
