What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Kunnel Law?
Kunnel Law is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our personal-injury team. We’re looking for someone who can step in with confidence, organization, and seasoned judgment. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of personal-injury litigation experience and be ready to support our attorneys through every stage of a case, from initial intake to trial preparation.
Hybrid (Remote) schedule will be available at a later date.
Responsibilities:
- Manage files from commencement of civil action through settlement/trial
- Assist attorneys in drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses
- File/e-file and effectuate service in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (including at the federal level)
- Schedule depositions, IMEs and other events communicating with clients
- Assist in obtaining medical records, bills, outstanding liens, etc with pre-litigation department
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings (i.e. Westlaw)
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Record and store client information
- Contact Client, Insurance Companies, Medical Providers etc.
- Maintain Calendar for litigation
Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience (minimum five years) as a Litigation Paralegal in a Personal Injury Law firm
- Advanced knowledge of the PA rules of Civil Procedure
- Fluent in Spanish, Hindi or Malayalam
- Knowledge in E-filing in Pennsylvania (primarily) and New Jersey Counties
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Communicate well with clientele of different ethnicities
- Deadline and detail-oriented
