Duties
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with bussing tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils while adhering to safe manual handling practices
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling, preparation, or setup tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and restrooms through regular cleaning routines
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting supplies or equipment around the restaurant
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to create a positive guest experience
- Experience with banquet or hotel service environments is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience can enhance performance in supporting food running duties
