This role combines two jobs most schools split: you teach private behind-the-wheel

lessons, and you administer the official Washington knowledge and road tests at our

own approved center. That means steadier hours and no driving between sites.

WHO THIS SUITS

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Teach private lessons (60, 90 and 120 minutes) in a school vehicle.
• Administer the Washington knowledge (written) test at our approved center.
• Administer and score the road (skills) test to DOL standards.
• Run 1-hour pre-test warm-ups on the actual test route.
• Teach behind-the-wheel sessions for teen driver training students.

REQUIRED

• At least 5 years of licensed driving experience.
• At least 21 years old (Washington's minimum age for an instructor license).
• A clean driving record.
• Able to pass a state and national fingerprint background check.
• Patient and even-tempered with nervous drivers.

PREFERRED

• A certified Washington driver training instructor license — preferred, NOT required.

We train new instructors in house and support you through certification.

• Bilingual English/Chinese or English/Spanish.
• Professional driving background: rideshare, delivery, truck, bus, transit, fleet or

emergency services.

WHAT WE OFFER

• From $28.00 per hour.
