Body Shop Technician

Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and perform quality repairs to body panels, structural elements, and vehicle frames, following manufacturer and dealership standards.?
- Replace damaged body parts—including bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim—and align, weld, or attach new components as needed.?
- Prep surfaces, sand, mask, and apply paint coatings using appropriate tools and techniques.?
- Perform fiberglass, aluminum, and light mechanical repairs within expertise.
- Document repair work and maintain open communication with managers and team members regarding timelines, supplies, and repair progress.?
- Operate all shop tools and equipment safely; follow safety procedures and uphold high housekeeping standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and stay current with repair techniques and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.?
- 1-4 years of automotive body shop or collision repair experience preferred.?
- I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus; candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.?
- Able to safely lift, move, and position heavy vehicle parts.
- Own basic hand tools; additional specialty tools welcome.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
