Body Shop Technician

Kunes Auto Group, one of the fastest growing dealerships in the Midwest is seeking a Body Shop Tech to join our Hastings, MN Body Shop.

Position Summary
The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing high-quality collision repairs, ensuring vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition with precision, safety, and efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced repair environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Must supply and maintain a complete set of personal automotive tools required to perform job duties
• Demonstrated experience with buffing, polishing, and paint correction techniques
• Ability to properly prepare vehicles for paint, including sanding and bringing surfaces to primer stage
• Skilled in reassembling vehicles accurately and efficiently following paint work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with company standards
• Perform thorough final washes and detailing to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced shop environment

Experience

• 1-5 years of collision repair experience required
• Knowledge of modern vehicle construction, repair techniques, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $25.00 straight hourly based on experience
