KUMON CENTER ASSISTANT

Position: Center Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated adult to join our team at the
Kumon Center! As an assistant, you will work directly with students to support their
learning, assist with grading classwork and homework, and foster a positive,
encouraging educational environment.
No prior Kumon experience is required—comprehensive training will be provided!
Work Schedule & Hours Class Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Hours: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (availability for all 3 days is preferred)
- Training: Must be available to complete initial training prior to or during start of
employment.
Key Responsibilities Assist students in foundational math and reading skills using the Kumon Method.
- Grade student work quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Work with young learners to develop independent study habits.
- Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organized, clean center.
- Work collaboratively with the Center Director and fellow staff members.
Position Requirements Adult Applicant (18 )
- Reliable Transportation: Consistent and dependable travel to and from the
center.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Strong commitment to prompt, dependable
attendance every class day.
- Great with Kids: Patient, positive, and encouraging demeanor with children of
various ages.
- Eager to Learn: Open to feedback and enthusiastic about learning Kumon
instructional methods.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Compensation Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with similar educational
assistant positions; details discussed during interview).
- Paid Training: Training sessions are fully provided and paid.
