What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Assistant position at Kumon Math and Reading Center of Stafford-West?
Kumon Math and Reading Center of Stafford-West is seeking an energetic and organized individual who loves to work with children and who is well experienced in customer service.
Kumon is an after-school math and reading program. We employ a unique learning method and curriculum that unlocks the potential of children by helping them achieve more on their own. We work with students from pre-school to high school, developing critical academic and study skills.
Job Description: 1) Thoroughly learn about the Kumon method and employ it in assisting students 2) Work with students and provide instructions 3) Provide grading 4) Handle parent communications
Requirements:
1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2) Must thrive in a busy, multi-tasking environment
3) Strong work ethic, and prioritization and organizational skills
3) Strong basic math and reading skills
4) Must be able to work during class hours (Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30PM to 8PM) and additional hours which can be flexible.

*This is not a seasonal position. We prefer to hire someone who can work with us long-term (at least a full calendar year).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
