What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grader and Instructional Assistant position at Kumon Math and Reading Center of Oak Park?
Role Overview: The Grader plays a vital role in our center by providing timely and accurate assessment of student work while also providing math guidance to students when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the grading team and ensure quality control across all graded materials
- Grade Kumon worksheets according to established guidelines
- Record student scores and identify error patterns
- Provide feedback to instructors about student progress
- Maintain grading accuracy and consistency
- Assist with student guidance when the instructor needs support
- Help students work through math problems independently using the Kumon method
Qualifications:
We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, confident in math, and quick to learn new systems. Ideal candidates will also meet the following:
- High school diploma preferred
- Strong knowledge of high school algebra required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent math skills and good reading comprehension
- Ability to guide students through problems using the Kumon methodology
- Leadership experience preferred
- Reliability and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Schedule:
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM
