Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a passion for education. The Assistant Teacher will play a crucial role in fostering student development and ensuring the smooth operation of classroom activities. Priority given to applicants who can work Monday Wednesday at Lufkin Location & Tuesday Thursday at Nacogdoches Location.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with their learning needs, providing individual attention as necessary.
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
- Manage classroom supplies and resources, ensuring everything is organized and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining student records and assisting with calendar management.
- Utilize computer literacy skills to manage documentation and correspondence using Google Suite and other software.
- Provide front desk support when needed, including customer service interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience in an educational setting or as a dental receptionist is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a plus, along with strong organizational skills to manage various tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with administrative duties and office management practices is beneficial.
- A background in customer service will enhance interactions with students and parents alike.
- Candidates should demonstrate computer literacy, particularly with Google Suite applications.
