This is a PART-TME opportunity, NOT a full-time position.
Pay is between $15-$16. per hour depending upon your experience and qualifications.
MUST be able available to work Mondays through Thursdays.
Kumon Math and Reading Center of Leander East located at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Blvd & New-Hope Drive is seeking part-time Assistants.
We are searching for applicants with math and/or reading skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for high school students, college students, retired educators, and people who are seeking a second part-time job.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Good instructional skills, an ability to observe, understand, and communicate with children
*Ability to convey ideas and concepts in a simple and clear manner to children
*Responsible, reliable, punctual, able to multi-task and follow directions
*Math Assistant: strong Math aptitude; High proficiency in algebra a MUST; Strength in calculus, and trigonometry is a plus
*Reading Assistant: strong proficiency in high school literature
*EL Assistant: comfortable working with preschoolers
Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:
- Assist students with Kumon-based Math & Reading Worksheets
- Grading homework assignments and leading children with classwork
- Preparing materials for classwork, homework, data entry, and filing
- Light administrative duties
*18 qualified applicants will need to go through a background check.
MUST be available to work the following days and times:
Mondays through Thursday: 4:00pm to 7:00 pm
