About the Role
As our Surgery & Aesthetic Coordinator, you'll work directly with patients and surgeons to schedule procedures, coordinate authorizations, and educate patients on premium offerings, such as advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs) and IPL treatments. This role is key in supporting the growth of our surgical and cash-pay service lines.
Responsibilities
· Schedule surgeries for cataract and glaucoma procedures across surgical centers.
· Obtain and track patient-specific documentation, referrals, and medical clearances.
· Provide pre-operative instructions and coordinate post-operative appointments.
· Maintain an active surgical case tracker to ensure no delays or missed steps.
· Prepare and deliver surgical consent packets to patients.
Patient Education & Sales Support
· Educate patients on premium intraocular lens (IOL) and IPL options, benefits, and out-of-pocket costs.
· Track conversions and identify opportunities to improve patient engagement and education.
· Work collaboratively with doctors and technicians to identify candidates for premium services.
· Serve as a point of contact for aesthetic patients seeking information on IPL and future cosmetic offerings.
· Follow up with interested patients and maintain an active consultation pipeline.
· Support marketing efforts (social media, events, referral outreach) related to surgical and aesthetic services.
Qualifications
· 2 years in surgical coordination, aesthetics, or ophthalmology preferred.
· Experience in medical sales, med spa, LASIK, or cosmetic dermatology highly valued.
· Excellent communication and follow-through with patients.
· Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
