We are a busy and well-loved Japanese sushi restaurant located in the heart of Monterey, known for our fresh ingredients, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dishwashing area
- Assist with basic food prep or cleaning tasks as needed
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly
- Support kitchen staff and follow all safety and hygiene guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
