Kuma Sushi is a Japanese Sushi Restaurant with a full cocktail bar. We serve cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and sake to pair with our sushi. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Job Description:

As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for crafting a wide range of cocktails and beverages with precision, speed, and creativity. Your friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills will contribute to the overall ambiance and success of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Mixing and Serving: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, following established recipes and techniques.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, taking drink orders, making recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including proper storage of supplies, glassware, and utensils. Ensure that the bar is stocked with all necessary ingredients and garnishes.
• Compliance: Adhere to all local and state regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Verify the legal drinking age of customers when necessary.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Track usage and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Cash Handling: Handle cash, process payments accurately, and provide change to customers. Maintain an organized cash drawer and adhere to cash-handling procedures.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience in a busy restaurant or bar setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and drink presentation.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local alcohol laws.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Must be of legal drinking age.
