Kukurin Contracting, Inc. (KCI), located in Export, PA, is seeking candidates for a Bridge Foreman. For nearly 50 years, Kukurin Contracting, Inc. has been a specialized utility contractor servicing Southwestern and Central Pennsylvania. Our areas of expertise include water and wastewater infrastructure development as well as bridge construction. Both locally and nationally, we have earned a reputation for project successes in the Utility Construction Industry. With a team of over 100 highly skilled professionals, we uphold the highest standards and deliver superior results while balancing many major projects simultaneously.
KCI’s PennDOT Division is a growing part of our business and its main focus is bridge and culvert construction that includes bridge demo, shoring systems, pile driving, foundations, abutments, precast erection, beam erection, deck paving, and all other site specific requirements.
Duties Include:
• Surveying and layout sufficient to read, set grade, and calculate quantities for bridge and road construction.
• Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Supervise, coordinate, and/or schedule the activities of an entire crew.
• Read plans and specifications to determine construction requirements to plan ahead.
• Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
• Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs
• Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to
coordinate activities.
• Order or requisition materials or supplies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Bridge/Civil or Heavy Highway construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and promote a safe work environment.
- Excellent team and communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances.
