What are the responsibilities and job description for the Simulation Supervisor position at KUKA?
SUMMARY
The Simulation Supervisor evaluates various robotic applications to develop manufacturing processes. The objective is to validate the functionality, sequence & cycle time of these applications. Verify or create a process that will comply with the customer requirements. This will also require working with several departments such as Project Management, Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Systems Layout, Joining Department (Weld Engineering), Controls, Product Department, Manufacturing and Robot Programming to verify every aspect of the process from design to manufacturing. The Supervisor will coordinate all simulation projects with several departments and his/her simulation Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisor Role
- Will provide guidance and direction to simulation Leaders and Engineers on simulation projects
- Review Progress Reports with Leaders prior to meeting with Simulation Manager
- Coordinate Simulation process reviews.
- Maintains & ensures the integrity & well-being of all drawings, CAD files & job-related documents during a project
- Creates and Maintains simulation standards.
Directs Simulation Leader
- Will Attend Meetings to review Simulation or Project Status
- Coordinate project specific items.
- Create and maintain Robot Matrix
- Create or add Simulation Issues on the internal Open Issues Matrix
- Track and maintain Project Status and Progress Reporting
- Work with Simulation Engineers on issues in their processes, evaluates overall feasibility and makes recommendations for improvements
- Train New Simulation Engineers on KUKA standards
- Update & Maintain a Tool Tracking Sheet
- Setup the project structure after project Kick-Off Meeting
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Bachelor's degree.
