Engineer Designer Fluids

Summary

• Take line ups from Mechanical Engineering and design Pneumatic or Hydraulic controls circuits that work in conjunction with the Controls Electrical drawing package.
• Perform fluids design ANSI, IEC, CSA specifications.
• Lead junior designers in generating fluids designs, checking their work for accuracy as needed.
• Create Bills of Material for associated designs.
• Work within a project team to support programs, or kit jobs as required.
• Attend Customer team meetings to understand and address opportunities related to the design of fluids circuits.
• As needed visits to customer job sites for meetings or field checking existing equipment.
• Ability to read, understand and work to published timelines.
  
  

Responsibilities

Experience Required

• 5 years' experience working for a Tier 1 automation supplier to the automotive industry within the Powertrain.
• 5 years' experience design and implementing Fluid Systems both Hydraulic and Pneumatic
• Ability to design a complete fluid’s drawing package.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write work instructions for installation teams.

Education

High School Graduate required.

Preferred - Associates Degree in technology, or Industrial Controls or higher.
