What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Inventory Planner position at Kuhn North America, Inc.?
The Parts Inventory Planner is responsible for the accurate planning, scheduling, and expediting of service parts to satisfy current customer demand along with anticipated demand by utilizing and maintaining electronic tools in addition to product/process knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\tEnsure product inventory is adequate for all distribution channels.
\tPlace orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
\tReview all system reports and determine appropriate action (order, expedite/de-expedite, cancel, transfer, maintain input data, etc.) based on inventory changes, demand, and projections, including obsolescence of required parts.
\tInitiate parts expediting activities by communicating with appropriate KNA/KKS Purchasing or Production/Inventory Control groups or with Kuhn Parts.
\tCreate and maintain item data and information (lead times, order multiples, min/max, etc.) in KNA business systems to ensure the most accurate output.
\tReview ECNs (engineering change notice) and implement data and inventory changes to align with engineering changes.
\tAttend new product introduction meetings when applicable and implement data and inventory changes to align with new product releases.
\tReview open P.O. report and initiate required action to resolve delays or inaccuracies. Expedite backorders and communicate status to applicable Parts/Warehouse Managers.
\tPerform annual review of slow moving and obsolete parts for optimization of warehouse inventory.
\tCoordinate with BUD (Business Unit – Distribution)/RDC (Regional Distribution Center) locations to organize annual returns to North American Central Distribution Center.
\tAssist parts technical support and parts customer service, as necessary.
\tMaintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion and conform to all quality and safety procedures.
Education and/or Experience - A high school diploma or GED and experience working in an inventory control environment is required. Knowledge of and experience in the areas of customer service, inventory, and logistics is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and e-mail is required. Familiarity with ERP/MRP.
