What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager (Central US Region) position at KUHN Group?
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for attaining the Company’s goals in the assigned area by working with assigned Territory Managers, Field Support Representatives & Field Product Specialists, to successfully market the company’s products over the long term, through a committed dealer network to satisfy our agricultural customers’ desire for maximum return on investment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct, manage, and support the activities of the Territory Managers (TMs) in the Sales Region.
- Work with TMs and other departments to develop and maintain a dealer organization to obtain corporate sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Work with the TMs to attain the Company’s sales goals through informed and trained dealers.
- Work with TMs to manage inventory to support sales potential of existing dealers.
- Manage and protect the Company’s assets under the control of the TM and dealers in the area.
- Work with assigned TMs to provide feedback regarding product, competition, and programs to assist development of product and programs to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise TMs including the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their territories.
- Hire, train, direct, and lead the regional sales force to achieve corporate goals.
- Meet regularly with TM to evaluate personal performance goals.
- Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing which would include performance management, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Review and approve call, inventory, and expense reports and other required documentation in a timely manner.
Education and/or Experience – A bachelor’s degree in business or marketing and/or a minimum of eight years of sales management experience, including working with dealer networks and supervising TMs is preferred. Knowledge of farming/agriculture, experience selling heavy industrial or agricultural equipment and knowledge of computer system use in sales management is also preferred.
