What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trim Foreman position at Kuepers Construction?
Kuepers Inc. is a family-owned and operated development and construction company that specializes in multi-family housing projects throughout Minnesota and exceeds $100M in revenue annually. Our longevity in the construction industry, architectural skills, and ability to collaborate with community leaders throughout the development and construction process have resulted in a long list of successful multi-family housing projects over the years. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Trim Foreman to help meet the growing demand for our services to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a crew of finish carpenters across multiple units/buildings
- Coordinate daily trim activities (doors, base, casing, cabinets, hardware, punch work)
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and unit layouts
- Maintain production schedules to keep up with multi-unit turnover timelines
- Ensure consistency and quality across all units (very important in multifamily)
- Plan workflow to move efficiently unit-to-unit or floor-to-floor
- Coordinate with site superintendent and other trades (drywall, paint, flooring, etc.)
- Inspect completed work and manage punch lists for turnovers
- Track and manage materials, deliveries, and inventory
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Train and mentor crew members
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of finish carpentry experience (multifamily preferred)
- 1–3 years in a leadership or foreman role
- Strong knowledge of trim installation (doors, casing, base, cabinets, hardware)
- Ability to manage crews working in multiple units simultaneously
- Blueprint reading and layout skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and production targets
- Good communication and coordination skills

- Active construction sites (indoor and outdoor exposure)

- Frequent movement between units, floors, or buildings
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
