Duties
- Assist in the construction, installation, and finishing of residential buildings, including framing, drywall, trim carpentry, flooring, and painting.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to install building materials such as windows, doors, cabinetry, and fixtures.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols and building codes; identify potential issues early.
- Perform hardscaping tasks such as patio installation, retaining walls, walkways, and outdoor living features.
- Assist with electrical and plumbing rough-ins and fixture installations during remodeling or new construction projects.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for excavation or material transport on outdoor projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site; ensure all safety procedures are followed diligently.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential construction or related fields; familiarity with building construction processes is essential.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction management principles, estimating techniques, and inspection procedures.
- Experience with window installation, flooring installation, glass installation, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols relevant to residential construction sites.
- Electrical experience or plumbing skills are a plus; willingness to learn new skills is valued.
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physical stamina for demanding tasks is required.
