Reporting to the Director of Engineering with guidance from a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and commercialization of advanced X-ray imaging systems and associated subsystems. This position offers the opportunity to work on cross functional projects spanning mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities and Duties:
· Contribute to the design, development and integration of electrical systems.
· Develop prototypes of electronic system hardware and software.
· Schematic capture and layout of PC boards.
· Design and development of analog circuits including power supplies, relays, digital circuits, LEDs and switches.
· Maintaining drawings of wire harnesses and system level schematics.
· Embedded firmware design.
· Modification of electronic parts and systems to improve technical performance.
· Support verification and validation (V&V) of hardware and embedded software.
· Transferring design to production and supporting manufacture.
· Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and product lifecycle management activities.
· Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions related to system issues.
· Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure component quality.
· Partner with mechanical, software, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
· Participate in technical design reviews and project planning activities.
· Help foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.
Experience:
· 2 years of electrical engineering experience in industry.
· Designing and developing electrical / electronic systems.
· Experience of taking designs to initial builds and testing.
· Creating detailed engineering documentation.
Technical Skills:
· Schematic capture and layout of PC boards.
· Maintaining drawings of wire harnesses and system level schematics.
· Ability to create test scripts in a language such as MATLAB or Python.
· Skilled in using a digital multimeter (DMM) or oscilloscope to debug electrical problems.
· Hands on experience of using tools such as screw drivers, wrenches while working on electrical systems.
· Ability to solder and do point to point wiring on electrical systems.
· Comfortable working with mains voltages (120 – 230 VAC).

Preferred Qualifications
· Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
· Design experience using Autodesk Eagle/Fusion and Electrical
· Microcontroller and firmware design using Arduino IDE
· Familiarity with quality management systems, like ISO 13485
· Understanding of applicable electrical compliance standards, such as IEC 60601 and 61010.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed on site, in an office and light manufacturing environment.
- Occasional travel required.
