KU Resources, Inc. is a growing, solutions-oriented engineering and environmental firm seeking a Civil / Municipal Engineer to join our team in Plum, PA. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support stormwater management design, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
- Prepare and review construction drawings, reports, calculations, and permit packages
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and drafting
- Perform municipal engineering design and plan review, ensuring compliance with zoning, SALDO, and regulatory requirements
- Review land development plans and coordinate with municipalities, clients, and project teams
- Support MS4 compliance efforts and erosion & sediment control design
- Attend planning commission, zoning board, and council meetings as needed
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, architects, and regulatory agencies
- Assist with project management, scheduling, and proposal/budget preparation
- Oversee or support construction phase services, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and site inspections
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in site development and/or municipal engineering
- Strong experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
- Proven experience in stormwater design (Hydraflow, PondPack, HEC-RAS, or similar tools)
- Demonstrated ability to review plans for code and ordinance compliance
- EIT required; PE or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Leadership or staff management experience is a plus
Additional Experience (Preferred)
- Site investigations, utility coordination, and municipal research
- Construction oversight, infiltration testing, and field inspections
- Business development and client relationship management
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
