Business Office Representative

The Business Office Representative is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the business office within the ambulatory surgery center environment. This position assists with patient account management, insurance verification, billing support, payment collection, financial documentation, and administrative office functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Support daily business office operations and administrative functions

·       Assist with insurance verification, authorization, and patient account setup

·       Collect and post patient payments accurately and timely

·       Assist patients with billing questions and account resolution

·       Maintain accurate patient financial records and documentation

·       Work collaboratively with billing, accounts receivable, and clinical teams

·       Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries professionally

·       Ensure compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements

·       Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining business office documentation

·       Support month-end reporting and reconciliation activities as assigned

·       Maintain confidentiality of patient and teammate information

·       Assist with additional business office duties as assigned
