As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and help support the financial health of our operation.
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will play a key role in managing KTR’s day-to-day financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the recreation, hospitality, or retail industry.
This is a part-time, on-site position located in Mesa, AZ 85212 through June 2025. The role will transition to full-time starting July 2025. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely employee payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with tax filings and work closely with external accountants during audits or year-end processes.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and documentation.
- Provide financial support to the management team for decision-making.
- Other administrative and accounting duties as needed.
- Communicate with employees with regards to benefit enrollment.
- Complete all HR reporting documents.
- Sales tax payments and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Teams and Excel.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and relevant laws/regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of payroll systems and HR processes.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
