Technology Leader – Network Architecture
Role Summary—We are looking for a technology leader who will serve as both the technical authority and the customer-facing technology lead for complex network solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills to ensure customer confidence, project success, and innovation in automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Collaborate with client technical architects to design and validate complex network solutions.
- Act as the on-site technical representative to build trust and demonstrate technology capabilities.
- Ensure all project solutions align with organizational standards and best practices.
- Build an enhanced and sustainable support model for manufacturing sites—solutioning, request handling, incident resolution, review current support model, recommending the best approach forward for better turnaround, etc.
- Identify repetitive tasks and drive automation strategies to optimize delivery and efficiency.
- Champion adoption of internal automation platforms to enable future network build automation.
- Active participant and key player in the Technical review board
- Represent Microland and EC in managing critical/major incidents, especially the ones impacting businesses (MFG/LRL/Datacenter), and be the spokesperson.
Customer Engagement & Program Leadership:
- Serve as the primary technology interface for the customer, providing visibility into project status and technical progress.
- Address technical and process challenges promptly to maintain customer confidence.
- Drive project teams toward meeting expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
- Mentor team members, encourage skill upgrades, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop proactive ideas, roadmaps, and innovation strategies to strengthen customer relationships.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Expertise:
- Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco LAN/Wireless
- Juniper Mist Wireless (future adoption of Mist LAN)
- Cisco DNAC (migration to Catalyst Center)
- Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers—Advantage
- Good understanding and exposure to DDI solutions (preferably Infoblox) and Audiocodes.
- Adept at using various networking tools—LM, Netbrain, Thousandeyes, LiveAction, etc.
- Strong understanding of Data Center, Manufacturing IT/OT, and corporate network environments.
- Automation Mindset: Ability to conceptualize and implement automation solutions for network builds.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, mentor talent, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in network architecture and technical leadership roles.
- Strong project management and customer engagement experience.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE) are preferred.
Location and hours of operation:
- Onsite position – Indianapolis
- Work from the office.
- Preferably 7:30AM EST to 4:30PM EST
- Be flexible to be available for critical incidents as required (24/7)
