Senior HR Business Partner

Plano-based, onsite

Multi-site | High-Growth Operating Environment

Some Travel Required

Reports to: Chief People Officer (CPO)

We’re partnering confidentially with a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across multiple business units and market offices.

About the Role

The Business Partner, People Team is the go-to HR resource for employees and leaders across IRG Ventures and its affiliated companies in Plano, TX and Miami, FL. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role owns the full employee lifecycle — from the moment someone signs their offer letter through every milestone along the way — while providing hands-on support in employee relations, compliance, and performance management.

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who is equally comfortable coaching an individual contributor through a difficult situation and advising a leader on a people-related matter. The right person brings sound judgment, clear communication, and the confidence to act — not just advise.

Compensation/benefits:

  • 100% company-paid health insurance premiums - nothing out of pocket for monthly medical coverage
  • Dental and vision coverage available at a low monthly premium cost
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions to help you get started
  • Mental health and employee assistance resources
  • Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability
  • Company-paid on-site parking (Plano) or transit pass (Miami)
  • $60/month cell phone stipend
  • 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%, 100% immediately vested
  • Competitive paid time off so you can step away and come back at your best
  • 12 paid company holidays plus one floating holiday to use as you see fit
  • A people-first culture backed by team events, complimentary snacks and beverages, and a workplace people genuinely enjoy coming to

What You'll Do

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Own the new hire experience from day one — facilitate orientation, verify I-9 documentation, and make sure every new team member feels welcomed, prepared, and set up to do their best work
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance to first day in their role —answering questions, and making the onboarding experience feel intentional
  • Continuously evolve the onboarding program so it reflects who we are as a company and where we're headed
  • Be a consistent presence throughout the employee experience — from promotions, role changes, team transitions, and milestone conversations
  • Support managers in delivering clear, timely, and meaningful feedback— helping them build a culture of accountability and growth within their teams
  • Guide employees through career development conversations, helping them understand what growth looks like and how to pursue it
  • When it's time for someone to move on, lead that process with the same care and professionalism as the rest of the lifecycle — conducting exit interviews, managing separation logistics, and surfacing meaningful trends to the CPO

HR Generalist & Compliance Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders with HR questions — providing accurate useful answers
  • Builds genuine relationships with leadership and team members
  • Ensure consistent and equitable application of HR policies and procedures across the organization
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies and the employee handbook
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; ADP experience strongly preferred
  • Provide HR support across Plano, Texas and Miami, Florida offices, maintaining a consistent employee experience regardless of location

Employee Relations & Investigations

  • Bring objectivity, sound judgment, and genuine care to every employee relations situation
  • Conduct thorough, timely, and well-documented investigations involving policy violations, misconduct, and interpersonal conflict
  • Document findings and recommend appropriate corrective action in collaboration with the CPO
  • Identify and address employee relations trends before they escalate into larger issues
  • Coach employees and people leaders on performance management, difficult conversations, written warnings, and performance improvement plans
  • Manage the unemployment claims process, including timely and accurate responses to state agency requests

Leave Administration & Accommodations

  • Administer FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and ADA accommodation processes in compliance with federal and state regulations — ensuring employees are supported and the organization remains compliant
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders throughout the leave process, providing timely, accurate, and compassionate communication at every step
  • Coordinate with the Payroll & Benefits Manager on leave-related pay, benefit continuation, and return-to-work logistics
  • Maintain complete and accurate leave records and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent demonstrated experience considered
  • Minimum of five years of progressive human resources experience needed
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems required; ADP strongly preferred
  • Experience administrating FMLA, STD and ADA accommodation processes
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and FLSA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to document a complex investigation and explain a policy to a new hire with equal clarity
  • Experience supporting multiple locations and departments within a single organization
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment with minimal supervision
  • Travel to Miami office, 2-3 days monthly or as needed to support employees, leaders, and in-office HR needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, start-up or multi-entity environment
  • Active SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Prior payroll processing experience desired

Who You Are

  • A trusted partner who has earned credibility with employees and executives alike through objectivity, comfort, discretion, and follow-through
  • A coach who helps people navigate difficult situations with clarity, consistency, and genuine care — you don't just enforce policy, you help people grow
  • Solutions-oriented and collaborative, with a real commitment to a fair and consistent employee experience
  • Composed and organized under pressure — you can manage complex, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A professional of high integrity who understands that confidential means confidential
