Position Overview:
We’re seeking a General Laborer to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who wants to break into the machining or manufacturing field. You’ll support daily production by assisting CNC operators, maintaining shop cleanliness, handling materials, and contributing to sub-assembly builds for final products. Attention to detail and cleanliness is essential in our shop—we value precision at every level.
Key Responsibilities:
· Material Handling:
· Move raw materials and finished parts between workstations
· Assist with loading and unloading CNC machines
· Operate carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
· Shop Support & Maintenance:
· Keep machines and work areas clean and debris-free
· Empty chip bins, wipe down equipment, and organize tools
· Perform light maintenance tasks as directed
· Production Assistance:
· Help CNC operators during setups or tool changes
· Deburr, wash, or visually inspect parts for cleanliness and quality
· Use basic hand tools to support finishing tasks
· Sub-Assembly Builds:
· Assist in mechanical sub-assembly of components for KTC Instruments products
· Follow work instructions and drawings to build simple assemblies accurately
· Ensure cleanliness and accuracy throughout the assembly process
· Inventory & Logistics:
· Label and sort materials or completed parts
· Assist with packaging, shipping prep, and stock organization
· Track inventory usage and report shortages
· Safety & Compliance:
· Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE
· Maintain a tidy and hazard-free environment
· Participate in safety meetings and training
What We’re Looking For:
· Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn
· Strong attention to detail and pride in a clean, organized workspace
· Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet throughout the shift
· Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
· Forklift certification is a plus (training available)

Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time and/or Part-Time, day shift (Monday–Friday)
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
