SOLAR INSPECTOR – UTILITY-SCALE SOLAR PROJECT
KT|BLACK Skilled Trades Staffing is currently hiring Solar Inspectors for a utility-scale solar project. We are looking for experienced solar professionals who can perform field inspections, identify quality and installation issues, and ensure work is being completed according to project specifications and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect solar PV installations and construction work in the field
- Verify installation quality and compliance with project plans and specifications
- Identify defective, incomplete, or improperly installed work
- Document inspection findings and communicate issues to project supervision
- Complete inspection reports, checklists, and required documentation
- Work closely with electricians, installers, foremen, superintendents, and project management
- Monitor workmanship and help ensure construction meets quality standards
- Follow all site safety requirements and procedures
- Perform other inspection and quality-control duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on utility-scale solar projects
- Solar construction, electrical, or quality-control experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand drawings, plans, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify installation issues
- Ability to document findings clearly and accurately
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to pass required site safety requirements and background screening
- OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications are a plus
Electrical or solar inspection experience is highly preferred.
