Job Description
KSI Auto Parts is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Transfer Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering auto parts to warehouse and shipping centers in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. They will also assist in properly sorting, staging pallets, loading and unloading the truck to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the parts.
The touch-freight driver will also sort auto parts at our Orlando location drive non-CDL and CDL trucks, and work additional hours based on traffic, delays, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Tractor Trailer to transport auto parts to warehouse and shipping centers; monitored via in-cab cameras.
- Assist in properly loading/unloading truck.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Verify that the load is properly secured and balanced before transportation.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of the truck.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck.
- Sit, Stand, walk, and/or lift for long periods of time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned as business needs change.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid class A driver's license.
- Prior experience driving a Tractor Trailer or similar commercial vehicle.
- Possess a valid medical DOT card.
- Able to reach, bend, lift, pull and push up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery schedules and routes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with the dispatch team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Familiarity with auto parts and repair industry is a plus.
- Ability to work from 7pm to 5am when needed
