What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper/Receiver position at kSARIA Corporation?
Description
- Safely package finished goods, create product labels, complete shipping transactions through Visibility
- Utilize both UPS and FedEx for shipments and various customer shipment portals when necessary
- Ensure finished goods meet delivery dates to intended recipient locations
- Utilize and follow weekly ship lists for respective customers
- Follow specific customer packaging requirements and shipment requests
- Enter freight/pallet specs for shipments and request pickups
- Keep up with shipping demand, possibly 30 packages daily
- Receive incoming shipments through Visibility. Check parts are not damaged, verify shipment counts and part descriptions and check for all necessary paperwork
- Communicate receiving issues to managers or buyers to resolve problems quickly
- Scan receiving paperwork into the system and file as necessary
- Unload freight from trucks using pallet jack, check items are not damaged and sign off on shipments
- Keep work area organized, clean and clear of hazards
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of shipping and receiving experience
- Proficient with computers. Daily use of ERP system, email, web browsers as well as shipping portals
- Communicate effectively with other departments as well as following ever changing demands
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Team player
