Position Overview: The position carries out development and testing of programs or systems, components, and/or materials concurrent with design, fabrication, or testing to better evaluate and minimize future problems in support of Program Executive Office Land Systems (PEO LS) Engineering Support Areas. 

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established by the Government customer.

Job Type: Full-time/Exempt

Location: Quantico, VA

Clearance Required: Active Secret  
 

Travel Requirement: Approximately 10%

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop alternative solutions to existing problems.
• Evaluates project goals and makes recommendations based on sound scientific principles and practical considerations.
• Contributes new ideas and experimental approaches to research projects.
• Supports the design and development of processes for products, product performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Analyzes data and develops experimental designs.
• Broadly applies basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Combat system experience – Command and Control, kill chain, networking, radars (preferably USMC or Naval–related).
• Science &Technology experience, including new technology identification and integration.
• Disciplined systems engineering process and execution, acquisition engineering documentation, and experience conducting technical reviews.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Successful experience working in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
