Fiber Splicer – Telecommunications
A fast-growing telecom construction company is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to join our team. This is a hands-on role in splicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic networks.
What You’ll Do:
- Splice and terminate fiber optic cables per industry standards
- Test and troubleshoot fiber networks using OTDRs, fusion splicers, and power meters
- Maintain accurate records, maps, and documentation
- Mentor and lead team members when needed
- Be available for on-call maintenance dispatch
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of fiber optic splicing and network maintenance experience
- Fusion splicer and OTDR experience
- Splicing certified
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
