Job Summary:
The ISO/Supplier Quality Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and improving the organization’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards while overseeing the supplier quality assurance program. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and revise quality management system procedures and work instructions in accordance with ISO standards and company requirements
- Plan and conduct supplier audits to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and contractual requirements
- Perform internal audits across departments to ensure adherence to ISO standards and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and track supplier certifications, qualifications, and performance metrics; manage supplier approval processes
- Serve as a system administrator for Quentic software, including managing training records, documentation database, and user access
- Activate and manage serial numbers for product traceability and quality tracking purposes
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to the Gauge Technician and Document Control Analysist, including workload management, training, and performance evaluation
- Coordinate and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities with suppliers and internal teams
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality issues and requirements
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by establishing quality planning documentation
- Maintain document control systems and ensure proper revision management of quality records

- Access to modify and control quality management system documentation and procedures
- Right to request information and support from other departments necessary to fulfill quality objectives
- Authority to recommend supplier approval, probation, or disqualification based on audit findings and performance
- Access to confidential supplier and customer quality information as required for role execution
Required Skills/Abilities
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality management standards
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, audit methodologies, and supplier quality assurance practices
- Advanced understanding of quality tools including PCP, PFD, PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills for managing supplier quality issues
- Project management capabilities for coordinating cross-functional quality initiatives
- Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the production facility (up to 10 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting conditions
- Capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to inspect products
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection as needed
