Position: Senior Resident Engineer

Reports to: VP/Project Manager

General Qualities

• Qualified Resident Engineer with extensive experience in civil, highway, or related engineering fields.
• The ideal candidate will lead inspection efforts and oversee construction activities related to highways, bridges, rail, and other infrastructure projects.
  
  

Technical Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction inspection teams.
• Ensure work conforms to project specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct field inspections and maintain comprehensive project records.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and recommendations regarding construction progress and issues.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance on construction practices and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of construction standards and inspection protocols.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage documentation, reports, and stakeholder coordination.
  
  

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license registered in the State of Connecticut.
• Experience with working on CTDOT projects
• 6 – 10 years of experience in civil, highway, or relevant engineering.
• At least 2 years must be in a supervisory role involving highway, bridge, rail, or facilities construction.
• At least 2 years must include field inspection experience.

$130000 - $200000 per annum
