What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving position at KRYTON Engineered Metals?
KRYTON Engineered Metals, a local manufacturing company in business since 1981, is looking for a Shipping and Receiving team member to join our dynamic team. Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Selected employee would be responsible for:
- Verify customer orders, quantities, part numbers, and shipping instructions before shipment.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging products for carrier pickups.
- Maintain accurate inventory, through labels, counts and organization.
- Operate electric sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, hoist and pallet jack.
- Perform visual inspection of all products prior to shipment for defects, oddities and cleanliness.
- Perform backup duties for Shipping/Receiving Manager generating and processing shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels and carrier paperwork.
Ideal applicants will possess 1 or more years of experience in the shipping and receiving and proficient with computers.
