We’re looking for an early‑career Software Engineer I to join a fast‑paced, highly collaborative engineering team supporting a modern microservices ecosystem with multiple user interfaces. What You’ll Do
- Build, enhance, and sustain Java‑based microservice applications
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leadership on architecture and roadmap decisions
- Tackle complex engineering challenges with a problem‑solving mindset
- Work directly with mission partners and end users to troubleshoot issues and propose new capabilities
- Support testing, deployment, and production operations in a live environment
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and ~3 years of experience
- Hands‑on experience designing, debugging, and developing in Java
- Background building RESTful web services
- Familiarity with Spring Boot
- Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
- Exposure to automated testing practices
Nice to Have
- Full‑stack experience, including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js)
- Experience with Kafka
- Comfort working in Linux environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated build tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
