General Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives across a designated geographic region, as measured by increased revenue growth and client base. This includes articulating the business value of Krux, analyzing market data, and driving sales growth of existing and prospective clients through technical product demonstrations. Working in collaboration with Technical Account Managers and Customer Success Team Members, you will promote the Krux brand, products, and services and support the implementation and onboarding process of successful customers under contract.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a business development representative in the region assigned to you as it aligns with Krux’s overall goals (maintain, increase or up-sell existing client base)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the region designated to you by increasing our subscriber base and bring in new customer account
- Identify opportunities for growth within the region; build relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, particularly those identified as enterprise clients
- Ensure existing clients are maximizing their potential to optimize their operations with the Krux solution
- Represent Krux as a technical leader in real-time data solutions for drilling operations; this may be through technical sessions at trade shows, webinars, blog posts, and or technical documentation of our software solutions
- Seek integration and collaboration opportunities with strategic partners within your region in line with our company vision
- Work closely and collaboratively with our Krux colleagues
- Keep a pulse on the market as to how we can continue to innovate and solve customer pain points; work closely with our product team to contribute to the product roadmap
- Work with the marketing team on ensuring our product positioning and messaging resonates with the market in your region
- Collaborate often with global sales and technical team members, including our customer success team, on opportunities and client accounts
- Document and track client interactions within our CRM and ensure that pipeline deals are kept current and up to date
Education & Training
- Preference for bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or Geology; will consider other relevant industry experience and combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in a strategic sales role related to SaaS sales or within the drilling/mining industry
- Preference for someone with formal sales training and previous leadership experience, or similar
- Knowledge & Experience
- 5 years with SaaS sales and/or relevant experience within the drilling/mining industry
- Experience or training with surface or underground exploration drill programs and contractors considered an asset
- Intermediate to expert-level knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience in growing a client base and building strategic sales plans
- Knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM systems
- Knowledge of customer lifecycle management and strategic sales and marketing tactics
- Marketing strategies and tactics, including brand, tone, stakeholder, and audience engagement

Work Environment / Location
Salt Lake City, UT (international locations determined on a case-by-case basis with the use of Krux offices in regions where this is available). Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely. Up to 30% travel required, including potential international travel.
Hours / Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Salary : $123,000 - $177,000
