What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)
Support Safe Medication Administration:
Accurately administer prescribed medications and document them per state regulations and community policies.
Monitor and report changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
Deliver Compassionate Care:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Provide emotional support and help residents maintain their independence and dignity.
Respond to call lights and resident needs with kindness and urgency.
Work as a Team Player:
Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and other departments to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Assist with meal service, light housekeeping, or resident activities when needed.
Treat residents and teammates with respect, patience, and a positive attitude.
What You Bring to the Table (Besides Compassion & Commitment)
✔ Licensure & Credentials:
Active CMA certification in the state of employment required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
✔ Experience & Skills:
Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
Familiarity with medication administration procedures and ADL support.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
✔ Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely throughout your shift.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds during regular duties.
