Primary Purpose
Coordinate and oversee all district assessment programs and student support systems to ensure compliance, integrity, and effective implementation. Serve as the District Testing Coordinator while leading districtwide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Section 504 processes, Behavioral Threat Assessment protocols, and related intervention systems. Ensure assessment data informs instruction, accountability, and intervention efforts to support student achievement across Krum ISD.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. District Assessment & Testing
Coordinate and ensure compliance with all state and local assessment programs, including:
- STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness)
- TELPAS
- TSI (Texas Success Initiative)
- AP Testing
- SAT & ACT administration
- STAAR assessments
- Beginning-of-Year (BOY), Middle-of-Year (MOY), and End-of-Year (EOY) assessments
- District benchmark and progress monitoring systems, including Eduphoria Aware
- Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) data systems by providing data spreadsheets as needed
- Serve as District Testing Coordinator (DTC)
- Ensure full compliance with TEA testing regulations and security protocols
- Develop and maintain the district testing calendar and procedures
- Train and support campus testing coordinators
- Monitor testing accommodations and special program compliance
- Coordinate secure handling and submission of testing materials
- Provide district and campus data analysis and reporting
- Support state accountability reporting requirements
2. Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Coordinate district implementation of academic and behavioral MTSS systems
- Support campuses in Tier I, II, and III intervention structures
- Establish progress monitoring expectations and documentation standards
- Provide training and support to campus intervention teams
- Use data to guide continuous improvement and intervention planning
3. Section 504 Coordination
- Serve as District 504 Coordinator
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide training for campus administrators and 504 committees
- Monitor documentation, eligibility determinations, and accommodation implementation
- Align 504 supports with testing accommodations and MTSS systems
4. Behavioral Threat Assessment
- Coordinate district Behavioral Threat Assessment processes
- Ensure campus teams are trained and compliant with state law and district policy
- Monitor documentation, timelines, and required reporting
- Support campuses with safety planning and follow-up interventions
- Collaborate with district leadership and community partners as needed
5. Assist HR Director w/ Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA)
- Ensure accurate data collection
- Assist with reports, as defined
- Retain documentation
- Other duties as assigned
6. Data & Program Support
- Provide actionable assessment data to district and campus leadership
- Assist campuses in interpreting and applying data to improve instruction
- Identify student performance trends and achievement gaps
- Support the district's continuous improvement planning
- Assist with required state and federal reporting
