Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney position. The Associate Attorney will primarily be responsible for estate planning and trust and estate administration, including drafting wills, trusts, and related documents, as well as assisting clients through the probate process.
The role also involves advising clients on estate planning and elder law matters, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and managing client relationships. A core component of this position is directly counseling clients through complex and often sensitive decisions. This position offers the opportunity to grow with an expanding firm and take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration required
- Demonstrated interest in estate planning, elder law, and probate required
- Experience in direct client counseling required, with the ability to guide clients through sensitive and emotional matters
- Strong ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
- Experience drafting estate planning documents and handling probate matters
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar licensure in Ohio
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
