What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Design Intern position at KROST?
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Technical Design Intern to join the KROST team. The intern will assist the Design department with garment measurements, fabric digitization, fittings, and overall product development to ensure accurate execution from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Garment Measurement & Specs:
• Measure incoming samples and record detailed specifications for fit evaluation.
• Update and maintain measurement charts and construction notes in tech packs.
• Support the team in ensuring all samples meet brand standards for quality and consistency.
Fittings & Sample Review:
• Assist during fit sessions by taking notes and photographing garments.
• Help prepare samples and materials ahead of scheduled fittings.
• Organize and track samples through each development stage.
Fabric & Material Management:
• Digitize fabrics and update internal fabric libraries for development reference.
• Assist with labeling and organization of fabric headers, swatches, and hangers.
Label & Trim Development:
• Help track and organize main labels, care labels, hangtags, and packaging items.
• Assist in reviewing label placements and technical details for production accuracy.
Technical Support & Organization:
• Maintain digital and physical archives of seasonal tech packs and sample records.
• Help ensure all internal documents and files are properly labeled and stored.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Google Workspace; knowledge of CLO3D is a plus.
• Must have access to an Apple laptop, as Keynote is used across all design and presentation
workflows
• Understanding of garment construction, fit, and measuring techniques.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for contemporary fashion and product development.
• Must receive school credit.
