Position Summary Account Director
The Account Director represents KBKG and is responsible for driving revenue by developing and closing sales opportunities within an assigned region or set of named accounts. This role sells KBKGs B2B tax consulting services, including Cost Segregation, R&D Tax Credits, Green Energy incentives, State and Local Tax, and international incentives.
Account Directors build and maintain relationships with referral partners (primarily CPA firms) while also selling directly to business owners. They work closely with KBKGs technical teams to deliver tailored solutions and effectively support clients and referral partners throughout the sales process.
Position Requirements
- Create and maintain long-lasting trusted relationships with referral sources that continue to refer new clients to KBKG each year. These referral sources include but are not limited to CPA relationships, Real Estate Owners/Investors, and Tax Services clients
- Work directly with business owners and C-level executives to identify and sell KBKG solutions
- Responsible for full sales cycle from lead generation to closing
- Partner with KBKG Principals and a Technical Management support team to maximize KBKG value for referral partners and clients
- Generate opportunities through cold calling, networking, referral sources, etc.
- Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Maintain accurate data within internal systems (Salesforce.com)
Experience
- A proven sales hunter and closer. Ability to own the sales cycle - from lead generation to close
- Strong discovery and communication skills
- 3 years of outside B2B sales experience (relevant Industry or CPA partnership experience highly preferred)
- Proven track record of sales excellence
- Self-starter within a fast-paced team, rapid-change environment
- Experience selling at the "C" level and business owner
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus
Travel & Work Environment
- Travel within the assigned territory/portfolio is required for client meetings, seminars, and networking; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Must be able to drive for business purposes; valid drivers license required.
Physical Requirements
- Standard office and travel-related physical demands including sitting/standing/walking, communicating, driving, and lifting up to 25 lbs. (with reasonable accommodations as applicable).
Compensation
- Exempt salary plus uncapped commission eligible role; consistent with plan design.
