Overview

Join a mission-critical IT team supporting Navy enterprise operations. In this role, you will install, configure, and manage complex network and virtual server infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and cybersecurity compliance across fleet engineering and modernization systems.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, network systems, and virtual environments
  • Monitor and maintain system health, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime
  • Apply critical software updates, security patches, and antivirus measures to all managed systems
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Active Directory and associated systems
  • Oversee data backup procedures and perform disaster recovery testing
  • Implement and verify compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and STIG requirements
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure RMF accreditation and secure network configurations
  • Support IT integration efforts for engineering and logistics systems used in Navy fleet operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, escalating as needed to Tier III support or engineering teams
  • Maintain detailed system documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and change logs

Qualifications

  • Active Security Clearance or ability to possess
  • CompTIA Security or higher certification strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in system/network administration in a DoD environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP
    • Virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V; experience in Azure hybrid cloud environments
    • Cybersecurity frameworks including RMF, patch management, and STIG compliance

Salary : $135,000 - $160,000
