We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver and Helper to join our team. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, assisting with loading and unloading, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods
- Deliver goods to designated locations while adhering to route schedules and safety protocols
- Provide support as a helper during transit by assisting with securing loads and ensuring vehicle maintenance checks are completed
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues for maintenance or repair
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with relevant endorsements (e.g., Commercial Driver’s License, CDL) depending on vehicle type
- Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery roles involving heavy equipment or freight transportation
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and heavy equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is preferred
- Experience with warehouse operations including load & unload procedures, pallet jacks, or yard jockeys is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform manual tasks associated with moving cargo or equipment
- Clean driving record with the ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required
